About this space
Independent studio located in the courtyard of a 400-year-old house (renovated in 2020), featuring a balcony, bedroom, and a small bathroom, plus a kitchen/dining area with dishwasher and Wi-Fi. The double bed can be separated into two single beds with 24 hours’ notice. Washing machine available in a shared area. Shared garden with cats (never inside the apartment); pets are not allowed. Private parking available, or the location is ideal for public transport. An 8-minute walk downhill to the town center. Non-smoking property. Tourist tax of €3 per person per day from March to November, payable on arrival.

The space
The property is located in the historic Castle above Menaggio on Lake Como, directly facing Bellagio and Varenna. The Castle overlooking Menaggio was built in the 10th century and destroyed in 1523. Around 1600, several houses and a church were rebuilt on the castle ruins, and the remains of the tower were used to construct this house. Today, it is completely covered in ivy, which turns into spectacular red foliage in autumn. Private parking is available for one car.

Guest access
The garden is terraced and may occasionally be shared with other guests. It is spacious enough to ensure privacy and a quiet environment for working. The balcony is for the exclusive use of guests.

Other things to note
The neighborhood is extremely quiet. The Wi-Fi connection is good, making the place ideal for focus and remote work. Menaggio is well connected by public transport to Milan and the airport. Nearby lakeside villages, such as Bellagio, can be visited by boat. A car is not really necessary. There is a tourist tax of €1 per person per day for guests over 14 years old, up to a maximum of €10 per person, payable until September 30. It will be collected on arrival.
